Liverpool to lead Bellingham race next summer

Liverpool are expected to lead the race for the signature of Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham at the end of the current season, according to .

Bellingham is greatly admired at Anfield, as well as elsewhere. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp recently said that the only problem with signing the 19-year-old this year was …

Next season we will be stronger – Guardiola expects Manchester City to push on

Manchester City are on the brink of claiming back-to-back Premier League titles, but Pep Guardiola believes they can be even better next season.

City are on course to become the first Premier League side to retain the title since 2008-09, as they sit on 95 points, one clear of Liverpool heading into the final round of matches.

The defending champions travel to Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday, while Liverpool host Wolves, and victory for the EFL Cup winners will keep alive their hopes of a domestic treble – a feat never before achieved by an English side.

However, Guardiola is demanding even more from his squad in 2019-20.

According to a report, Manchester City fear a substantial loss in their associated party transactions (APT) case against the Premier League.

APT rules are designed to ensure any commercial deal or player transfer between a club and entities with links to that club’s ownership are conducted at fair market value, so that club revenues are not artificially inflated.

If an arbitration panel declares the APT rules invalid, then clubs would effectively be free to do any commercial deals they wished without any independent judgement being made on whether those deals were for fair market value.
