According to Sky Sports, Olympique Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas said he wants the future of Nabil Fekir sorted out soon, before the holidays presumably before Christmas.
Fekir was very close to a move to Liverpool early in the summer transfer window. The fee had been agreed and the promotional interview recorded, only for the deal to fall through in the eleventh hour, reportedly because of a failed medical.
The France international suffered an ACL rupture in April 2016 which made him miss eight months of football. Since then, he has injured the same knee twice more, and Liverpool s medical team apparently weren t satisfied with what they saw, at least not enough to endorse the club s decision to pay over £50million for his services.
However, there are reports claiming the Champions League finalists are still interested, as well as those naming Chelsea and Bayern Munich as potential candidates for his signature.
Aulas statement, however, leaves unclear whether Fekir would be signing a fresh deal with the Ligue 1 side or seek employment elsewhere.
